After almost 5 years since closing the field office in Cuba, USCIS announced it will reopen an international field office in Havana, Cuba. The new office will assist with U.S. immigration casework and benefits, including interviews and processing of pending Cuban Family Reunification Parole cases and Form I-730, Refugee/Asylee Relative Petition.

The USCIS Havana Field Office will also provide other limited services, which may include refugee processing and collecting biometrics for U visa petitions. Services at the Havana Field Office will be available only by appointment. Keep an eye on the USCIS International Immigration Offices page in the coming weeks for more information about services and appointments.

USCIS’ renewed presence in Cuba is part of their effort to restore USCIS’ footprint outside the United States. These efforts are consistent with the Biden-Harris Administration’s commitment to facilitate safe, legal, and orderly migration and discourage irregular and inherently dangerous maritime migration.
